  3. Celebrating Canada’s first Organic Campus during 14th Annual Organic Week
September 12, 2022

OTTAWA, Ontario (Monday, September 12, 2022) The Canada Organic Trade Association is pleased to present Acadia University with their official designation, for achieving Organic Campus status. This designation marks the first Organic Campus designation in Canada. This achievement by Acadia University highlights their dedication and support of organic by leading youth to choosing and educating others on the principles of organic. Congratulations Acadia University!

The Canada Organic Trade Association is elated to be celebrating the 14th national Organic Week with enticing webinars, enjoyable contests, and for the first time in two years, live events. As many organic enthusiasts and partners are aware, Covid-19 did not stop the celebrations from occurring for organic. The Canada Organic Trade Association celebrated Organic Week through online engagement and events, continuing to interact with organic consumers and supporters.

This year, Organic Week will run September 12-18, with events taking place all through the month. This celebration of organic is one to remember, as it is the first in two years that industry leaders, partners, and supporters are able to share their appreciation for organic in person.

In 2022, the Canada Organic Trade Association is pleased to be back to hosting in person events, such as the Organic Week Launch Event at Mill St Brew Pub in Toronto. This event will connect organic partners, supporters, and organic leaders for an evening of delicious organic food and drinks, and familiar industry faces.

Organic Week 2022 is different from the past two years, as it also hosts in person contests. In total, there are four online contests and one in person contest. Organic supporters can shop at their favourite retail store and there’s a chance they will come across a QR code. This QR code leads to a website form where they can enter their details to win $1300 of free organic groceries! These contests are meant to engage consumers and organic followers in learning more about organic and raising awareness of organic principles.

As well, Organic Week will host ten educational and engaging webinars for industry partners and organic consumers to join in on. These webinars are great ways to learn more about organic in Canada, organic cooking/eating, and learning tips and tricks that will help grow organic knowledge.

Organic Week would not be possible without our sponsors, thank you to the following sponsors for their support and contribution to Organic Week 2022!
